Still more pictures

These are more pictures found loose in that same box as the previous pictures.  They cover a wide variety of years and subjects.  Some are identified while others are not.  If you can help with the identifications of the unknowns, please leave a comment.

Della Cole Owens Young
Della was my maternal grandfather's aunt.  She and her first husband had a farm in Milford.  My grandfather stayed with them for a short time when he was growing up.  When she and her second husband got to an age that they could not run the farm, they sold it to my grandfather but continued to live in the house which was divided to suit two families.

 Thelma Ferguson Pidgeon
Thelma was my maternal 1st cousin 2x removed.  She lived her entire life in Oneonta, Otsego County, New York.

Elmer again!  He's posing, on 5 March 1945, with three unknowns at the Griffith Park Observatory.  You can see the Hollywoodland sign in the hills behind his head.

Beatrice May Rose Camp with Clarence Darling.

Leonard George and Beatrice May Rose Camp.

The people in the background look like Jack and Florence Rose Lawler.

Above and below is Beatrice May Rose Camp with unknown fellow nursing students.

Beatrice May Rose Camp, Elbert Rose, Olive Letha Rose Schnack

Sisters Olive, Florence, and Beatrice Rose with maternal grandmother, Alice Clayton More.

Children of Obed and Luella Cure.  Obed bought Elbert's farm in Pine Hill.  From left to right are Pearl, Everett, and Frasier Cure.

Doris is in the three pictures above, possibly the fourth picture as well.  Who Doris is, I don't know.  Do you?

Gladys on the boat dock.  No, I do not know who Gladys is or if she is family or friend.  This photo, and the one below, was made at Caroga Lake, in Fulton County, at New York State's Adirondack State Park.

more pictures

If you can help with identifying people and places, please leave a comment.

Who is this young man?  Is he cranking the car or is something wrong with the tire?

This looks like one of our More kin but, for the life of me, I can't place him.

On the reverse side of this one is written "Nuts - Carl".

On the reverse side of this one is written "In memory of the days when we were 'huskies' and pals.  I'll never forget them, Wally, so consequentially I'll never forget you."  Huskies was italicized and I may not have read it correctly.  Grandpa Schnack was called Wally and Wallie back in his Marine days.  There is no name signed to this.

Grandpa Schnack, Jochim Walter Schnack, in the very back.  There is a Canadarago Lake near Richfield, New York above Fly Creek.  I've learned that Canadarago Park opened about 1909.

This looks to me to be a young Alice Estelle Clayton More.  What do you think?

Perhaps a graduation exercise?  Seeing the ladies dressed in white leads me to believe it might be a college offering nursing studies.  Beatrice May Rose Camp was a nurse; maybe its her graduation?

Josephine Clayton Lounsbury; I have another copy of this photo with the identification on the reverse side.  Josephine was a sister of Alice Estelle Clayton More.

Grandma Schnack, Olive Letha Rose Schnack, on the bank.

Above and below are photos of Nina Handy, a friend of Grandma Schnack's.

Grandma Schnack again with her friends, all of whom are on the bank in this photo.

Grandma Schnack on the far right and Beatrice in the back.  Who are the others?

Alice Estelle Clayton More on the left and Harriet Julia More Burgett on the right.  Who is the woman in the center?

"Russell Sage College from Congress St." is written on the reverse side.

Russell Sage College from Second Street.

"Pillsbugh Building (R. P. _)" is written on the reverse side.

"The falls in your pasture" is written on the reverse side.

Some of these children are seen in other photographs.

"Mohawk Trail" is written on the reverse side.

"2/10/26" is written on the reverse side.

"Road through park" is written on the reverse side.  Would this be Canadarago Park?

"Emma" is written on the reverse side.

This was a postcard style photo.  On the front side is written "Summer Set House, Broome Center, N.Y."  I don't find a Summer Set House online but Broome Center is in Schoharie County.
