George Weismer Russell

George was the son of Thomas Gilmore Russell and Marie Weismer Russell. He was raised at Delhi where his father was the owner and operator of a farm. George married to Frances “Fannie” More on 14 January 1874. They made their home first at Delhi where he was the owner and operator of a farm. They relocated to Sidney about 1884 where they resided in the household of his wife’s widowed father, Peter Stanley More. He and his father-in-law were farmers at that place. George and Fanny were the parents of five children; Arthur George Russell, Annie May Russell, Herbert Stanley Russell, Nellie More Russell, and Jennie Russell. George is buried at Prospect Hill Cemetery at Sidney.
