Carrie Stevens Crawford Smith

Carrie was the daughter of Scots immigrant, Robert Crawford, and New York state native, Sarah M. Turner Crawford. She was raised at Durham, New York where her father was the owner and operator of a farm. Carrie married to Howard Chauncey Smith on 30 October 1895 at Catskill. They made their home first on Summit Avenue at Catskill and, by 1905, had moved permanently to a home at 58 William Street at that same place. Her husband was the owner of a retail and wholesale grocery. Her husband died in 1941 and I found no record of her after that. Family records indicate that she died in New York State. Carrie is buried at Town of Catskill Cemetery. Howard and Carrie were the parents of two children; Howard Crawford Smith, who died before his first year, and Genevieve Lewis Smith. Carrie is John More Association Jean Line cousin #M5.10.13 and was the wife of my third cousin, three times removed.
