Elsie was
the only child of Harry Clifford Smith and Elizabeth Cook Spencer Smith. She was a life-long resident of 5 Liberty Street at Catskill where her father
was the owner of a grocery store. Elsie graduated from Catskill High School in
1936 and then from Edgewood Park School at Nyack, New York; State University of
New York at New Paltz, New York; and Mildred Elley Business School at Albany, New
York. Elsie married to Michael J. Hodor on 23 September 1941 at Catskill. They
made their home at that place where her husband was a carpenter. Elsie was a
co-founder of the Catskill Yacht Club and was a life member of Hudson Mohawk Council
of Boat Clubs. She died at Kaaterskill Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center and was
buried with her husband at Town of Catskill Cemetery. Elsie and Michael were
the parents of one child, a daughter. Elsie was John More Association Jean Line
cousin #5.10.1.10.1 and my fourth cousin twice removed.
