Sun. eve.

Hi Hon,

Well, I got through this day very nicely and without monotony.

I did Niagara Falls from 9 A.M. to 5:30 P.M. all on foot at the total cost of .40.  How's that?

I left my car on this side; saw the American Falls, crossed the bridge and walked up the Canadian side to the Horseshoe Falls, then hiked all the way down along the gorge to the lower whirlpool, back to the bridge and the American side, over to and all around Goat Island, and back to the car.  Of all that time, I didn't spend over 1/2 an hour sitting.  The rest was steady walking and boy, can I feel it.

All I can say about the Falls is that if the force of gravity ever reversed itself, there would be a lot of water in the air.

Tell Buck and Vivian I'm bringing them a souvenir.  In fact, 12 souvenirs; all former residents of Niagara, half American and half Canadian.

On the Canadian side, they go strong for trying to sell linen and English china.  Some fine sets

complete service for 6 to 8 ran all the way from $35.00 to $90.00.

The Canadian side is fixed up very nice.  Of course, most of the view is from there anyway.

Well, tomorrow I have with Togler and then I start angling towards home; Olean, Hornell, Elmira and there I am.  Hope this coming week is as good as last.  These full weeks are more expensive than the short ones.  I had the universal joint fixed on the car.  I needed a whole new one instead of parts.  I got a binder for Vivian, almost like the the one I have.  I bought another suit of coveralls; figured I'd have to have them this coming week.

So, by the time I get home, I probably won't be broke.  But I'll be badly bent.

The enclosed leaf I picked up on the Canadian side because of its unusual coloring.  It's different to say the least.

Well, guess I'll ring off and call it a day.

Love,
Walt
