Dear Ma and all,

It's time to sit myself down and write you a few lines again.  I have oodles of work to do but I think I'd better write first.

My little girl will be waking up soon to be fed.  In fact, she's waking up now I think.  She'll be three weeks old tomorrow.  She's getting cuter and growing more as each day passes by.

I just finished a letter to Mom.  You are about the only two who get letters from me since Cindy came along.  I seem to be busy all the time now.  I don't ever go to the neighbor's anymore except once in a while at night with Jake.

Sunday night, we went to the movies and saw "Far Country".  We took Cindy Lou with us.  It was her first movie and bus ride at just over two weeks of age.

I guess this isn't my day for writing letters.  I just can't think of much to say.

How does it seem to be out of school for awhile now?  It must be a relief after all those tests and averages.

Cindy has been taking vitamins for a week now and still doesn't think much of them.  She is still getting oil baths but now her navel is all healed and I'm going to start putting her in water.  I stuck her feet in Jake's bath water the other day.  She didn't think much of it at first.

We have decided to have Cindy baptized before we get back to the states.  It will be nice to have it done while she's still small.  And, since she was born here, it will be nice to have her baptized here, too.  We are going to have the chaplain in Kitzingen do it.  Instead of sprinkling them with his hand, he uses a rose.

We have taken a roll of film up on Cindy Lou and when we get them developed, we'll send some pictures home.  That is if they turn out.

The division is having a parade in Kitzingen tomorrow so if it doesn't rain, Cindy and I are going down to see it.  While we're there, we'll go over and look at the new apartment we'll be moving into about next week.

Jake has tried to call Chuck but has had no luck.  Of course, he doesn't have much of an address to go by.  If he doesn't show up this week, we'll be living in Kitzingen when he comes.

Cindy woke up so I changed her and fed her and washed and boiled her bottles and ate lunch myself.

Now, I'm trying to finish this letter before I wash and set my hair and vacuum the floors.

It's warming up some this afternoon.  This morning was quite cold.

This month, I didn't buy any big things like I did the last two months.  I had the baby and got her a carriage

instead.

Gee, I have beau coups of letters to answer.  I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever get caught up.  I won't do much writing next week; I'll be busy moving and settling.

I still have to fold diapers this afternoon, too, and make Cindy's formula.

I guess I've said about all there is to say, so I'll close and wash my hair.

Love,
Irene, Jake, and Cindy Lou
