Jennie Louise McKillip Clarke

Died 27 January 1962 at Dryden, Tompkins County, New York

Jennie was the daughter of John A. McKillip and Agnes Barr McKillip. She was raised at Roxbury, New York where her father was a cooper. Jennie married to William Maurice Clarke on 8 December 1897 at South Gilboa. They made their home first at Stamford, New York where their only child, Marian Agnes Clarke, was born. The family relocated to Gilboa about 1905 where Jennie's husband was a creamery laborer. They returned to Roxbury about 1910 where her husband was the owner and operator of a dairy farm. Jennie's husband died in 1923 and she later relocated to Dryden, New York. It was at her home at this place that she died. Jennie and William were the parents of one child, Marian Agnes Clarke. Jennie is buried with her husband at Stamford Cemetery. Cemetery records, and her grave marker, indicate her year of birth is 1875. JMA family records indicate her date of birth was 11 July 1878.
