Betty Jean Gray Pagel

Died 16 December 2006 at El Paso, El Paso County, Texas

Betty was the fourth of five children born to Allan Brasted Gray and Dorothy Scott Davidson Gray. The family relocated frequently during Betty’s formative years. In 1930, when Betty was two years old, the family resided at San Angelo, Texas where her father was a geologist with Independent Oil. In 1935 they resided at Fierro, New Mexico and, in 1940, the family resided at Mountainair, New Mexico where her father was a project superintendent with the Civilian Conservation Corps and her mother a receptionist at the Young Women’s Christian Association. Sometime before 1951, Betty resided in California, the state in which her social security number was issued. Betty married to Warren Kenneth Pagel on 12 June 1954 at Las Cruces, New Mexico. They made their home at El Paso where their two sons were born. The marriage ended in divorce sometime between 1958 and 1971. Betty did not marry again. Her last known residence was on Osage Lane at El Paso. Her cremains were scattered at the foot of Mount Franklin at that place. Betty is John More Association James line cousin #616134 and my fifth cousin once removed.
