David Smith More, Jr.

Born 24 July 1859 at Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin

Died 19 September 1933 at Long Beach, Los Angeles County, California

David was the second of six children born to David Smith More and Elizabeth Adelaide Ellmaker More. He was raised at Milwaukee until about 1864 when he was four years of age and his father died. Sometime before 1870, the family relocated to Wauwatosa, Wisconsin where, by 1880, David was a farmer. David was a railroad conductor residing at Seattle, Washington when he married to widow Rosa Louisa Adrian Allen on 6 April 1910 at Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. She was a resident of Telluride, Colorado. They made their home first at Long Beach, California where he was a general manager for a railroad. They relocated to Leavenworth, Washington by 1914 where I presume he was engaged by Great Northern Railway. David retired about 1924 and they returned to Long Beach where Rosa was a chiropractor. David and Rosa had no children. Upon David’s death, his body was cremated. The location of his cremains is unknown. David was John More Association David line cousin #732. He was my second cousin four times removed.
