Frank Abel Northrup

Born 19 March 1895 at Pepacton, Delaware County, New York
Died 6 July 1985 at Delhi, Delaware County, New York

Frank was the second of three children born to Jason Corbin Northrup and Lillian Ethel Hunt Northrup. He was raised at Colchester, New York where his father was the owner and operator of a farm. His father died in 1902 when Frank was six-years old. His father’s brother, Donald Preston Northrup, assumed responsibility for raising him in 1905 when he married Frank’s mother. His step-father/uncle was the owner and operator of a general farm, and later a dairy farm, at Colchester. Frank married to Florence Emma Jacobson on 22 June 1929 at Walton, New York. They made their home first with his core family at Colchester and later on their own at Colchester. Frank was the owner and operator of a farm. They relocated to De Lancey about 1942 and his last known residence was at Walton, New York. Frank and Florence were the parents of six children; Howard Neal Northrup, Milton Frank Northrup, Elinor Florence Northrup, Richard Don Northrup, James Henry Northrup, and Roger Jason Northrup. Frank was buried at Walton Cemetery. His wife was buried with him upon her death in 2005. Frank was my third cousin twice removed.
*Note-Frank's marriage record indicates that he was born at Pepacton, New York. Pepacton ceased to exist when the dam creating Pepacton Reservoir was created and flooding was complete in 1955.
