Maxine Marie Van Loan Northrup

Born 7 November 1937 at Sidney Center, Delaware County, New York

Died 17 February 2009 at Westfield, Hampden County, Massachusetts

Maxine was the daughter of George Washington Van Loan and Lillian Margaret Wormuth Van Loan. She was raised at Sidney where her father was a farm laborer. Maxine worked at J. J. Newberry Company when she married to James Henry Northrup on 23 September 1955 at Walton. They made their home at Walton where their children were born. Maxine and James were the parents of six children; three daughters and three sons including David James Northrup who died in 1997 at the age of 40-years. Maxine and James divorced sometime after 1965. She was a resident of Westfield, Massachusetts at the time of her death. Maxine was buried in a Northrup family plot at Walton Cemetery. She was the first wife of my fourth cousin once removed.

 Grave photos obtained myself on 12 August 2015. In the plot photo, Maxine's grave is behind that of her son, David, who has a flat military grave marker. To the left of David's grave is the grave of his father and step-mother.
