Clyde More



Born 22 January 1872 at Stamford, Delaware County, New York
Died 4 February 1936 at Grand Gorge, Delaware County, New York

Clyde was the fifth of six children born to Liberty Preston More and Ruth Ann VanDyke More. He was raised at Gilboa where his father was the owner and operator of a farm. Clyde married to Marion Lovell on 13 February 1901 at Hobart, New York. They made their home at Gilboa where he was first a farmer and later a creamery foreman. Clyde and Marion were the parents of two children, Ila Margaret More and Elsie Mildred More. Marion died in 1913 and Clyde married next to Grace Lucy Brown on 23 August 1916 at Sloatsburg, New York. They made their home at Conesville, New York where he was a a lumberman. They relocated to Stamford Road at Roxbury, New York about 1925 where he was the owner and operator of a poultry farm. His last known residence was at Grand Gorge. Clyde and Grace had no children. Clyde was buried at Stamford Cemetery at Stamford. He was my second cousin three times removed.
