Nella was
the elder of two daughters born to Charles Coan and Julia Merrick Grant
Coan. She was raised at Bloomville, New York where her father was a creamery
bookkeeper and later and electrician and then the Kortright Township Town
Clerk. Nella relocated to Westwood, New Jersey about 1940 where she was a
private home helper in the household of Robert and Harriet Walton. She returned
to Bloomville about 1941 and married to Floyd Henry Miller on 18 April 1942 in
Delaware County, New York. Nella and Floyd made their home at Bloomville and were
the parents of eight children; Charles David LaPorte Miller, Jacquelyn Ann
Miller, and six children (one son and five daughters) still living. Bloomville
is a hamlet in the township of Kortright. Nella was John More Association John
Line cousin #141271. She was buried at Riverside Cemetery at Bloomville. She
was my fifth cousin once removed.
