Floyd Henry Miller



Born 23 July 1917 at Downsville, Delaware County, New York
Died 8 April 1991 in New York

Floyd was the son of Edwin W. Miller and Emma D. Chapman Miller. He was raised at Walton, New York where his father was a silk mill warper and his mother was a silk mill winder. The family relocated to Colchester, New York about 1925 where his father was the owner and operator of a farm. The family returned to Walton about 1930 where his father was the owner and operator of a dairy farm. Floyd enlisted in Company F, 10th Infantry, New York National Guard in 1934. He was discharged in 1937 and re-enlisted in the same company in 1938. Floyd married to Nella Ada Coan on 18 April 1942 in Delaware County, New York. Floyd and Nella made their home at Bloomville, New York and were the parents of eight children; Charles David LaPorte Miller, Jacquelyn Ann Miller, and six children (one son and five daughters) still living. Floyd’s primary residence was at Bloomville where he was a salesman and cabinet maker. He also had employment, or resided at, Pennsylvania and Oklahoma and Attica, New York. Floyd was John More Association John Line cousin #M141271. He was buried at Riverside Cemetery at Bloomville, New York. He was the husband of my fifth cousin once removed.
