Florence was
the third of nine children born to Irvin More and Hazel Orpha Combs
More. She was raised at Afton where her father was the owner and operator of a
dairy farm. Florence married to William Harland Nichols on 23 November 1945 at
Afton. They made their home at Walton, New York where her husband was a
carpenter and where Florence was a painter for many years at Del-Met Corporation. Knitting was a
favorite pastime and she was well known for her chocolate chip cookies. Florence
and William were the parents of four children; all daughters. Florence died at
Countryside Care Center at Delhi after a long illness. She was buried in a
Nichols family plot at Walton Cemetery. Florence was my third cousin twice
removed.
