Eleanor Martin Smith

Died 8 March 1943 at Catskill, Greene County, New York

Eleanor was the only child of Frederick Martin and Sarah C. Martin. Her father, in 1880, was a butcher at Catskill. I did not find him in any records after that. Eleanor was raised at Catskill by her mother who was a dressmaker. Eleanor was a stenographer when she married to Raymond Eugene Smith on 4 November 1903 at Catskill. They made their home at 60 William Street at Catskill where her husband was the owner and operator of R. E. Smith Coal Yard. Eleanor and Raymond were the parents of two children, Dorothy Raymond Smith and Chauncey Lewis Smith. Eleanor is buried at Town of Catskill Cemetery. She is John More Association Jean Line cousin #M5.10.15 and the wife of my third cousin, three times removed.
