Lucy was the
fifth of six children born to Heber Goode Johnson and Amelia Josephine Noe Johnson. She was raised at Greencastle where her father
was a house carpenter. Lucy married to Henry Russell Washbon at Saint Thomas
Episcopal Church on 14 March 1931 at New York City, Borough of Manhattan. They
made their home first at Morris, New York where her husband was a farmer and
Justice of the Peace. They had no children and were divorced on 28 February
1933 at Reno, Nevada. In 1935, she resided at Louisville, Kentucky and by 1940,
she had relocated permanently to her home town of Greencastle where she was a Public
Administrator with State Welfare Department. Lucy died of heart disease at
Putnam County Hospital and was buried at Forest Hill Cemetery at Putnam. Lucy
was John More Association Jean Line cousin #M55151 and the wife of my fourth
cousin twice removed.
