Elizabeth Cook “Beth” Spencer Smith

More commonly known as Beth, Elizabeth was the daughter of Henry B. Spencer and Elizabeth Jenkins Spencer. She was raised at Catskill, on Harrison Street, where her father was the owner and operator of a plumbing business. Beth married to Harry Clifford Smith on 24 October 1916 at Catskill. They made their home at 5 Liberty Street. Her husband was the owner and operator of a retail grocery store. Beth was a member of First Reformed Church of Catskill. Beth and Harry were the parents of one child, Elsie Southworth Smith. Beth died at her home and was buried next to her husband in a Spencer family plot at Jefferson Rural Cemetery, now known as Town of Catskill Cemetery. She is John More Association Jean Line cousin #M5.10.1.10 and the wife of my third cousin, three times removed.
