Lenora Patterson Kenyon



Born 15 July 1878 at Decatur, Otsego County, New York
Died 23 February 1959 at Delhi, Delaware County, New York

Lenora was the second of four children born to George L. Patterson and Harriet Smith Leonard Patterson. She was raised at Decatur where her father was a farmer. The family relocated to Worcester, New York about 1892 where her father was a teamster. Her parents relocated to Sidney, New York about 1900 where her father was a railroad laborer. Lenora married to John Raymond Brooks on 5 August 1903 at the home of her parents at Sidney. They made their home at Cortland, New York where her husband was a dry goods clerk. They relocated to Norwich, New York about 1910 where her husband was a cloak company commercial traveler. They relocated to Binghamton, New York about 1915 where her husband was a traveling man. The marriage ended in divorce and Lenora married next to Frederick Almon Kenyon on 18 August 1917 at Syracuse, New York. They made their home at that place where her husband was a teamster. They relocated to Chittenango, New York about 1930 where her husband was a hotel proprietor. He died in 1933 and Lenora then resided briefly at Otego, New York in the home of her cousin Martha, who had married to Charles Hawkins. Lenora relocated permanently to Delhi before 1950. She had no children. She is buried at Prospect Hill Cemetery at Sidney. Lenora was my 4th cousin 2x removed.
