Ralph Arthur Gray

Ralph was the son of Arthur Earl Gray and Lottie A. Knapp Gray. He was raised by his mother at East Walton where she was a private family servant. In 1930, he resided at Hardenbergh, New York in the household of his maternal grandparents, Millard Knapp and Ellen Davis Knapp. His grandfather was the owner and operator of a general farm. He enlisted in the New York National Guard’s Company F, 10^th Infantry in 1937 and, in 1940, was a Private in the United States Army stationed at Fort Wadsworth, New York. Ralph married to widow Doris Marie Bemis Welch on 22 November 1950 at Walton. Ralph and Doris had no children and their marriage ended in divorce. I found no records of any other marriage for Ralph and no records for him after 1950. Ralph was buried at Walton Cemetery. He was the husband of my fourth cousin twice removed.
